Description |
BOPCRIS
contains 16,435 references to key British Official Publications 1833-1983,
and is being developed as part of the Research Support Libraries Programme
(RSLP). The aim of the project is to save researchers wasting valuable
research time and effort finding relevant 19th and 20th
century British Official Publications by providing a web-based bibliographic
database. Of the 200,000+ parliamentary papers in partner libraries
(not to mention non-Parliamentary), BOPCRIS will focus on around 16,000
key documents, selected for inclusion in the internationally known hard-copy
Ford Select Lists and Breviates, from 1833 to 1983. The database can
be browsed via subject headings, or searched with the help of Boolean
operators. The Ford Collection of British Official Publications, Hartley
Library, University of Southampton is the lead partner in this collaborative
project, with input from a number of UK academic libraries, and with
support from the British Library and the Institute of Learning and Research
Technologies (ILRT), at the University of Bristol. |
