The Collection Description Focus Schema Forum took place on February 12 2004 in London
A series of regional workshops were planned, aimed at practitioners, technical and project staff. Each will have about fifty attendees, partly invited participants and partly on an open basis, following the successful MODELS Workshop approach.
The first Workshop took place in November 2001 in Manchester.
The second Workshop took place in February 2002 at Aston Business School, Birmingham.
The third Workshop took place in March 2002 at the Wolfson Suite, Edinburgh University Library, Edinburgh.
The fourth Workshop took place on Friday 8 November 2002 at the University of Newcastle, Castle Leazes Halls of Residence, Newcastle.
The fifth Workshop took place on Thursday 30 January 2003 Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge
The JISC RGA Workshop was held on Tuesday 3 June 2003 at the University of Bath
Our first Showcase was held in London in March 2003. In addition to the formal presentations, the Showcase event provided an opportunity to see demonstrations of a variety of Collection Description services. This event was aimed at information managers who are developing and directing policy, and anyone with an interest in employing collection-level description as a component part of their information services.
Two Briefing Days took place in London and were each attended by about 70 delegates.
The first Briefing Day took place in October 2001 at the British Library, London.
The second Briefing Day took place on Tuesday 14 May 2002 at the British Library, London.
