SUETr Advocacy & Cultural Change Event
York St John University, Lord Mayor's Walk, York YO31 7EX
Thursday 22 January 2009
This event has been postponed until March 2009. Further details will be posted in due course.
Background
Institutional Repositories reach far outside the institutions that create them, requiring IR managers to have an understanding of areas such as advocacy and cultural change, and the ability to liaise with many external parties.
This on-day event will offer perspectives from:
- a publisher
- an author
- a funder
...and look at the question of Open Access and other related issues. The focus will be on advocacy and understanding the changes brought about by the IR. The aim is to enable better communications between IR staff and external parties. This will be done through a mixture of case studies and workshop sessions. There will also be time in the day to network with other IR staff and with the speakers.
