The Interoperability Focus Advisory
Committee comprises members drawn
from a range of information providing disciplines, including
libraries, museums, and the archival community.
It is recognised that members of the committee give their
valuable time to support the work of Interoperability Focus, and
it is intended that these Terms of Reference should serve to
clarify their role and to ensure a two-way dialogue of benefit
both to Interoperability Focus and to the members.
- The Interoperability Focus Advisory Committee serves as a
forum for exchange of ideas between those involved in developing
aspects of interoperable services.
- Through discussions within the committee, Interoperability
Focus can be targetted towards issues in need of special
attention, ensuring greatest community benefit from the
initiative.
- Through members of the committee and their contacts, the work
of Interoperability Focus and related projects can be
disseminated into a wide range of communities and
organisations.
- Through input from members of the committee, Interoperability
Focus — and other committee members — can be kept
aware of relevant developments in a wide range of communities and
organisations.
