DC-assist

Configuration files

UKOLN

Three steps to producing your own application profile

Step 1:
Take a copy of the the DC Education configuration file (dced.cf).
Step 2:
Modify it as necessary. Yes, I know the format isn't XML! Yes, I know it should be!! Yes, I know I need to document the existing format better!!! Email me if you can't work it out.
Step 3:
Save your new configuration file somewhere on your Web site. Then use the following URL to see your newly configured version of DC-assist:
http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/metadata/dcassist/?config=http://your.domain/your-config.cf
Note that there is virtually no validation and error checking of the configuration file at the moment - so if you get it wrong, you may well end up seeing nothing!
