This talk was given by David Egan and Joanna Widdows, National Library for the Blind at the Managing the Virtual Branch: Public Library Web Managers Workshop 2000 workshop held at the University of Bath on 10-12th October 2000.
David Egan is involved in the management of multiple projects all geared at enhancing the availability of accessible digital services for visually impaired people. He is currently working with RNIB and NLB Consultancy on the development of a nationwide framework for consultancy on accessible website design.
Joanna Widdows is a qualified library professional and has been working at NLB for over a year developing the electronic services offered by the library. A major part of her job has been the development of internet based services at NLB that are accessible to visually impaired people.
