I started my work at UKOLN on the implementation of the Annotation component from the IMESH Toolkit. This project being based on the technology used by the RDN Resourcefinder, I moved to being RDN Systems Developer at the end of the IMESH Toolkit Project. Within this role I developed the ePrints-UK service and worked on metadata when applied to eprints and digital repositories.
I am now part of the newly formed Software & Systems Team, where I continue to partly work with the Invute (previously know as RDN) but also work as Systems Adminitrator. More specifically, I am currently designing, rebuilding and maintaining the UNIX/Linux server infrastructure, based on the Slackware Linux distribution, that form the backbone of UKOLN.
The Intute part of my work in the design, implementation and maintenance of the Intute Repository Search service. This service is a continuation and extension of the ePrints-UK demonstrator.
