Use of Native File Format

Files can be stored in their native file format (Word, Powerpoint, etc.)

Files may then be viewed using the application or a viewer which understands the format

Pros:

• No conversion needed

Cons:

• Viewing software needed
• Format version issues
• Indexing issues
• Proprietary
