A presentation on Approaches To Web Site Development For The 21st Century
was given at the University of Leeds
on 9 July 2001 from 10:00-11:30 am. The session started with coffee at 09:45 am
in the Conference Room on level 7 of the Edward Boyle Library.
Abstract
Many Web developers will of heard of XML, RDF, XSL and many other TLAs.
But what are they? When will they arrive? Do I really need them? Will I have
to throw away my Web site in order to move to a next generation of the Web
(as happened with Gopher)?
In this seminar Brian Kelly, UKOLN, University of Bath, will describe
some of the new developments on the Web and the implications for Web site
developers.
