XML Schemas:

• Allow constraints to be applied on XML attributes
• Express shared vocabularies and allow machines to carry out rules made by people
• Richer than DTDs

XSLT:

• A language for transforming XML from one XML application to another or to another format (e.g. PDF)
• Written in XML
• Knows about XML (e.g. tree structures, etc.)
