The Talisman seminar on Electronic Copyright took place on Monday, 23th June 1997 at Moray House Institute of Educational Technology in the centre of Edinburgh. Brian Kelly gave a 25 minute talk on Technical Aspects Relating to Copyright and the Web.
This talk addresses some of the technical aspects of the Web which have copyright implications, including the implications of caching (at the client and the server), manipulation of resources by caches and other proxy servers, off-line browsers, indexing and robot technologies, configurable end user views of web sites. The talk also describes recent Web protocol developments which have copyright implications.
