Conclusions

• Widespread use of the Internet / ease of publishing has increased privacy concerns
• Need for education and awareness:
  • End users
  • Information providers
  • System administrators (central & departmental)
• Do we want a system like TRUSTe?
• Need for auditing tools locally / nationally?
• Need to share experiences
• Need to be aware of (implement?) technical solutions
