The Web In The 21st Century
A 30 minute talk on The Web In The 21st Century was given on Tuesday 4th September 2001 at UKERNA's JANET User Support Workshop held at the University of Loughborough on 4-6th September 2001.
In this plenary talk Brian Kelly reported on the latest developments on the Web and advise on the approaches to Web development which we should be taking in order to provide Web services for the 21st Century.
The talk will describe the original Web architecture and the key protocols and standards which helped to make the Web so pervasive. A review of developments to the Web architecture will be given and the need to keep up with these developments will be explained. Suggestions on approaches to the deployment of these new solutions will be given.
