This page provides gives details of the discussion groups at the workshop on Beyond Email: Strategies for Collaborative Working and Learning in the 21st Century which is being organised by the UCISA WLF and UKOLN.
The morning discussion groups will take place from 11:30-12:10, with a report back from 12:10-12:30. The discussion groups follow the introductory talk and the case study on use of instant messaging technologies.
Delegates have been allocated a discussion group (red, blue, yellow or green). The groups have been allocated a discussion topic. Please ensure that you attend the group you have been assigned and that your group sticks to the topic. However if delegates have a strong interest in a topic they have not been allocated, it may be possible to allow a small number of changes.
Note that there will be report backs of the main conclusions from the discussion groups and we will encourage the groups to document their discussions.
In your group appoint a reporter and address one of the following areas.
Note that due to the short period of time for the report back, reporters should only report on issues, ideas, suggestions, etc. which the group feel are particularly important or significant. If possible, document other issues on a shared Blog/Wiki to allow others to read after the event.
The afternoon discussion group will take place from 13:50-14:30, with a report back from 14:50-15:10 (after a coffee break). The discussion group follows the case study on use of Blog technologies.
