First use of XML was to build an intranet for UEA – still in use today
Content stored as XML, aggregated and transformed to HTML by a homebrew perl script.
Since then used wide range of tools and methods to deal with XML (perl, scheme, java, python).
Favourite is Cocoon, some may recall from last year.
