Title:
Writing for the Web
Facilitator:
Tim Matschak, Cass Business School, City University, London
Abstract:
Why should we write for the Web and how is it different from other ways of
writing? And even if we know what to do, how can we implement this and persuade
others? This workshop will review the principles of writing good web copy and
compare them to other examples of writing. We will look at the role lay-out and
audience play in this. Participants will be able to try their own hand at writing
and reviewing text, and will be able to explore strategies of how to create good copy for their sites.
