The conference will take place on campus at the University of York, Heslington, York, YO10 5DD. Information on travelling to the venue can be found on the IWMW 2007 Travel page.
A number of companies operate buses to the University. The number 4 departs from the railway station every few minutes. The scheduled journey time from the railway station to Heslington is 20 minutes. For Alcuin College, disembark at the Morrell University Library stop, underneath the footbridge on University Road.
A journey by taxi from the railway station to the University will take approximately 15 minutes. There is a taxi rank just outside the station. The University has a preferred taxi company, Ebor Taxis - 01904 641441.
For those arriving on Sunday 15 July, please make your way to Alcuin College reception after 2pm. The College porters will provide you with your key and direct you to your rooms. See the news pages for information on Sunday night activities. Breakfast will be served in Quarks restaurant in the National Science Learning Centre (NSLC) from 7.30-9am.
For those arriving on Monday 16 July, residential delegates are strongly encouraged to drop their baggage off at Alcuin College reception, where it will be securely stored by the College porters. There is no storage available in Vanbrugh College.

The most convenient car park for Vanbrugh College for the conference and Alcuin College for accommodation is available at Campus Central. Alternatively, a larger car park is located behind Alcuin College at Campus North. These car parks are illustrated on the main campus map.
The standard cost of parking on campus is £5.00 per day via the pay and display machines. Alternatively, parking hangers will be available for purchase at the IWMW 2007 registration/information desk at a cost of £3 per day. Please ensure that you do not leave your car without a parking ticket or hanger at anytime. It will be acceptable to leave a note stating that you are in the process of purchasing a parking hanger for the Institutional Web Management Workshop. You should have registered for your parallel session when you filled in your booking form. Information regarding the allocation and location of parallel sessions will be available in the envelope you will be given with your pack. We have tried to give everyone their first choice but some sessions filled up quickly and second choices have had to be allocated in these cases. If you have not been issued a choice then please speak to someone at the registration desk. Please contact Arte Cropper if you have any questions.
If you have not yet booked your parallel session then you can email events@ukoln.ac.uk until Monday 2nd July. Note that many sessions are now full. After online registration closes you will be able to choose from the sessions that still have spaces available when you register for the workshop on Monday 16th July.

Information is available on wireless network usage and the wireless hotspots.
Accommodation for speakers and delegates will be located on the University campus in Alcuin College, situated at the north end of the campus. A campus map is available from the University of York Web site.
The rooms are basic single ensuite student rooms. Towels, bedding, a pillow pack (shampoo and shower gel), tea/coffee making facilities, alarm clock and a hairdryer are provided.
Although there is an Internet connection and phone in your room, these are only for use by students in term time. You may use the phone to call another room on campus but not for external calls. People can buy a Dog 'n' Bone calling card from the campus shops to make calls from their bedrooms.
Check-in is at the Alcuin College reception (see campus map) from 14:00 on Monday 16th July, however at this time talks are being given. It is recommended that you wait till after all the sessions finish at 5:00 before getting your key. Students will be on hand between 17:00 and 18:00 in the Vanbrugh College foyer to direct delegates to Alcuin College. Check-out is by 09:30 on the day of departure, Wednesday 18th July. Space will be provided for bag storage. Any keys not returned by 09:30 will be incur a £10 charge.
All meals will be provided during the conference up to and including breakfast on the last day. Breakfast will be served in the Vanbrugh Dining Room from 08:00-09:00.
The conference will finish at 12:30 on Wednesday 18th July.
The social events are included in your registration fee.
On the first evening (Monday 16th June) there will be drinks followed by a conference dinner which will be held in the Vanbrugh Dining Room, on campus. Drinks will be served at 19:00 with dinner at 19:30.
On the second evening (Tuesday 17th July) there will be a drinks reception at the National Railway Museum in the centre of York. Coaches will be provided to take delegates to the NRM and will pick up from Campus North car park near Alcuin College at 6:30 sharp. The drinks reception begins at 19:00 and afterwards there is free time in which delegates can eat at one of the many restaurants in York. Please note that delegates will have to make their own way back to campus by bus or taxi.
