Digital Preservation
The lifespan of a digital resource is vulnerable to the impact of rapid technological and organizational change. The aim of digital preservation is long-term, error-free storage of digital information, with the means of retrieval and interpretation, for the period of time that the information is required. Preservation is only one aspect of the management of digital resources, or “digital curation”.
