A survey of a WAP Interface for selected resources on the LSE Library Web site has been carried out. The survey makes use of the Google WAP conversion service.
The aim of the survey is primarily to investigate the ease with which project Web sites can be transformed. In this case a transformation service provided by Google is used to transform a Web site in HTML/XHTML into WML, the format used by WAP phones.
Note that the WML output from the Google conversion can be viewed using a WML-compliance browser, such as Opera.
A summary of the findings is given in the following table.
Resource | WAP Interface Works? | Comments | View WML
1 | Library entry point | Y | View
2 | Library projects | Y | View
3 | Library catalogue Note session |

4 | Gateway to electronic library | Y | View

The information in the table was collected on 17th June 2003.
