A pilot survey of the ease with which selected resources on the LSE Library Web site can be converted to XHTML has been carried out. The survey makes use of the online Tidy service.
The aim of the survey is to see how easily pages can be repurposed and to discover if there are any approaches which are used which may cause difficulties in repurposing Web sites.
In the following table of the findings the resource is deemed able to be successfully converted to XHTML if a comprehensible Web page is displayed. It should be noted that images which are linked to using a relative link will not be displayed. However in such circumstances the image's ALT text will be displayed.
